I'm betting this flop, but since the flop got checked through, I'm definitely betting the turn.

Bet the flop and next time use a different converter.

*grunch*

With no bluff on the flop, I'd check it down and hope for one of your 3 outs. Since you checked the flop, someone might think you're just bluffing now and they'll call with their low pair, or whatever. That's been my experience. I always bet the flop in this situation though... just to see how many people I can eliminate. A bet in this situation, it would be correct for someone going for a flush draw or straight draw to call. Not to mention people who caught the jack. You might be throwing your money away by betting.

Oh I also just noticed that the pot is small... SSHE says to be very selective to trying to steal small pots. It can be costly.

Re: AK

It's not a bad flop play. When you bet into a passive, they will call with anything; they will call with nothing. Actually the checks on the flop sets up some fold equity for a turn bet. If he calls there, I would probably check/fold the river UI. Not a biggee pot.

This is a great reason for Hero to bet the flop.
