Girlfriend at the table?

my gf is coming with me and some friends to AC for new year's, but i don't think she wants to play any cards.

do any of the poker rooms have issues if she sat with me at the table?

by 'with' i mean in a chair behind me, not at the actual table.

thx!

How long are you planning to play?

My friends and I refer to these girls as "coats" - e.g., "check out that guy's coat. she's hot!"

Will she really not mind standing behind you for a long time while you play cards?

My suggestion here is always to play cards when you're not with your girlfriend, but maybe I'm just too considerate.

It's no problem unless someone objects, but they won't.

multiple thoughts here:

1 - seriously, you'll have no issues. It will be fine

2 - the pig in me says "the prettier she is the happier the table will be that she's there."

3 - The OOTIOT in me says "we're going to need some pictures before we can respond correctly here."

4 - the poker player in me says "dont' show her your cards because she WILL give information away."

5 - the nice guy says "see what other poster says about "why would you subject your gf to hours of boredome watching you play? send her to a bar or to the hotel spa for a massage/mani/pedi and then go play for a few hours. Play in the middle of the night while she's sleeping. Block a few hours of "my time" to play cards and let her do her thing, but don't make her watch you."

have a good time!

not planning on going on the 12 hour stints at the tables.. just a few hours here and a few hours there.

if anyone had a problem with it i'd just get up and go do something else.

i was told that most casinos won't have the low limit games on new years weekend, or that the lists will be insane. any info on this?

Ive seen it be done multiple times at the trop (AC) before, ranging from 2/4, 4/8, 6/12 and 1/2 nl games.

There was one time where it was a guy in a powerwheel chair playing in my 6/12 game, with three people sitting behind him, watching his cards and play. No one had a problem with it.

At the Indian casinos here they don't allow it. I always get a kick out of the row of chairs outside the pokerroom with all these Latin poker widows that are apparently willing to just sit there for hours on end waiting for their man to finish playing.

My girlfriend doesnt play and she has never had a problem getting a drink when she is with me. Some places are stingy about it but drop the waitress a red and there wont be any more issues.
