Serious Post-The 2nd Amendment

Is there a good gun law post out there? I was at my local gun shop today thinking of getting another piece for home protection when I overheard some rednecks and street thugs talking about the guns like they were toys. I'm looking for a really good reason to own a gun right now.

Thanks,

Indy

First - sorry to see the wrath of [censored] came down on you.

Why were you looking for more protection? What am I missing here? My picture of you is not someone who's actually afraid of rednecks and street thugs.

Nah I'm not that afraid of necks/thugs, but even as a republican I'm afraid of these guys getting guns so easy here in Indiana. My house was recently broken into, plus I like target shooting at the local range, so I wanna upgrade the little Berretta to a Glock 9. Still, I keep asking myself if I even need a gun...I find it shocking that you can just walk into a shop and get a gun with no permit and no training.

OK, understand now. If you like the Glock, get it. My LEA friends mostly all swear by Glock (in various mods).

Indiana gun laws sound either too soft or, as is usually the case, they're not being enforced. In either case, Indiana leges really need to get their lazy butts in gear.

Yah this is true. I think some people having guns is fine, but just anybody? Over in Ohio u gots ta do training and stuff first. So, any good gun rights posts out here? I've failed with the search function. And, oh yeah, [censored] is uncool for banning me but what can I do? I'm not going to go crying and betting Mat to override it. Its not that important to post in OOT anyway.

I find it sad that you want to shoot your fellow man rather than attempt to befriend them.

LMAO

It depends entirely on what my "fellow man" is doing.

And whether I've got a clear shot in his 10-ring.

I think he wants to be able to prevent his fellow man from doing harm to him

That's as it should be.
