Any reason to think about a check-call line?

If you are ahead you may get a loose call from an A who otherwises checks behind.

If you are behind to a flush, you can fold to raise, as not many hands you beat raise here.

Over all, leading out nets you more, and may keep you from calling a larger bet if you check it to him and he has the flush.

OK, besides the flush, KT also worried me. My take on it was the following. Could our villain make a raise to throw me off? Does this type of stuff happen? I for some reason, think it's more likely in these low buyin tourneys. So I thought that a value call is the best line here. But I see your point about a value bet being the best line. I'm just now getting used to laying down to reraises.

Villain bet 4000 into me, and I called easily. I just thought it was a shrewd move on my part at the time, but I see otherwise now.

I like betting 2000-2500 here. If you're raised, you can probably let it go, and if you're check-calling otherwise, it's the smallest amount you're likely to lose if you are beat.
