Did you order or download?

I have an X-arcade controller and now that I have my big screen TV, the smaller TV is going to be put into what I hope will be a custom built console (or at least a high desk with stools) and I'm gonna use it as an all-in-one arcade game in my apt.

k, I will trade damn near anything I can (programs, movies, music, programming/website design) for someone to tell me how to get mame to work on my xbox. the only arcade games that work on it are Marvel vs Capcom, and Mega Man, the Power Battles. Both uber-cool, but I want some classics, like the ones shown above.

THANKS.

Haha mame roms are great! I stopped collecting last year but I still have about 7.1 gigs worth of roms.

My favourites are

wonderboy
road runner
1943 strikers
bubble bobble
rygar
ghost n goblins
zelda

there's so many more that I forgot to mention
but damn those old school games were so much fun

Personally, B, I would get it for computer and then buy one of these - it's what I have - - (ah hell, they even have Xbox adapters now)

There is a messy compatability issue with Mame versions and ROMS - you may need older versions of MAME for certain Roms - I suggest getting two or three versions, some older versions - and if you can download them off Kazza or some filesharing FTP site, a shitload of ROMS and just see what you can fire up -

Even when I had 1200 ROMS, I had some that didn't work on the latest version of MAME.

Regrading the hacked X-box - that's a cool idea, and I will try that when the 360 comes out and I got this POS lying around - LOL - but until then - I'm just gonna play Xbox and build a dedicated PC for MAME - I also have Stella and every Atari 2600 game on it, so THAT is cool -
