This new FOLDER format SUCKS... New posts in red rule
 

I go to the Derb thread, see all the new posts in red and go right to a new James282 response to a Diablo post, which is what I'm sure many others would do. I want to see the back and forth, and in between, of James282 and Diablo. I read it and then click back to see what the replies were and see no red at all. I'm left to look at a thread with many new folders for responses but no red. WTF? Really f*ckn stupid.

Whoever told the new or old mod that the old system distinguishing new posts being in red should replaced by folders was wrong. Big time.

Go back to the old way of looking at a thread. Posts you haven't seen are in red. Simple. What's wrong with that?

Heavy handed mod's do more harm than good. Admit you messed up and back off.

what is bumping this going to do?

chuck is currently working on a more pressing issue. namely, if you type for a long time you run the risk of losing your work if you hit continue and get the error message "this post is no longer valid"...you then hit the back button and lose everything you wrote.

Can't he just undo all the changes that were made in the last few days? I mean, has there been ANY improvement in ANY part of this site? Or is it just widespread regression?

it dosent lag nearly as much

people should view in flat mode, its much better and the differences dont really affect it

I thought that the lack of lagging was because of much less usage since the quality has gone down.

I'M JOKING. You are right, I hadn't noticed that until you mentioned it.

I know this isn't the place to ask this, but since this thread seems to be related anwyay... Does anyone know why new threads are showing as read for me if I re-login even though I haven't read them? I use two comptuers through the day and each time I switch all threads get marked as read and it makes it tough to read new posts or replies to old ones.

It seems to be on some kind of time delay where it just marks everything as being read every 20 mins or so whether you read it or not. Conversely, things you read dont get marked off until the "mark as read" timer goes off.
