Rake

Trying to figure how much i pay in rake on Party poker so that i can decide whether it is worth the hassle to get rakeback. How do i figure how much i am losing atm? I play $600 nl 6player if that makes a difference.

Re: Rake

Playing 6 max 600NL you are probably generating a minimum of $20+ an hour in rake.

Re: Rake

Rake Calculator

$600 NL 6MAX at 25% RB is around 7.17 cents per played hand. If you play 1000 hands a day 30 days a month it's costing you ~$2152 per month with no rakeback. $600 NL 6MAX is about the same per hand as $5-10 Full/6MAX

20% would be $1422 a month
30% would be $2583 a month.

You can find 20%-24%+ out there away from Party directly but your account and your affiliate's account may get frozen when you least expect it...or you could attempt to be diplomatic with Party and probably start out at ~15% and move into maybe low-twenties % maybe higher over a few months assuming they dont fvck everyone and somehow change the system mid-stream...

Re: Rake

Can you explain what you mean by: "$600 NL 6MAX is about the same per hand as $5-10 Full/6MAX?" Are you saying that NL 6max is the same as 5-10 full or is it the same as 5-10 6max, or the same as both 6max and a full game?

Re: Rake

actually at 25% its more like $10-20 Full or $10-20 6MAX not $5-10 ..I was using numbers I had in my head from own rakeback deal that was 32%. At 32% rb $5-10 6MAx used to be ~7.70 cents...$5-10 Full ~7.00 cents.

Re: Rake

ok, i bet $50 into a pot. someone calls. How much rake does party collect. in rake back i only collect what they take on my bet right? so on the above example how much do they take? and then i would get 25% of that?

Re: Rake

Rake at Party is calculated differently than at most other sites. They use this formula
[Your Rake] = [Total Rake] / [Number Of Players Dealt Cards]

You generate the same amount of rake regardless of whether you put money into the pot or not so long as you were dealt cards.

Ex. You are playing at a 6 max table and all six seats are dealt cars. You're dealt 72o in first position and fold, folds to button, button goes all in $600, big blind calls $600. $3 in rake is taken from the pot.

[Your Rake] = $3/6 people = $0.50

If you have 25% RB you would get 12.5 cents back.

Re: Rake

sorry, but how do i calc total rake?

Re: Rake

Total rake is simply the rake taken out of the pot. It's sitting next to the dealer, or you can look it up in the hand history on most sites.

Re: Rake

For rake you have personally paid (that is money removed from pots you've won) it's in the general tab of PT. To calculate your share of rake go to the games tab. Click all games. In the sum you will see APH or something like that with a number that's probably around 5 if you play 6 max or perhaps 8 if you play full. Divide the total rake by this number to get your share. This is likely to be less than the amount you've actually paid since you are tighter than average and hence win fewer pots than your share.
