I want to be the Theo Epstein of the NFL

I'm 26, I have a degree in Economics from a California State university (not a UC), I have no connections at all to the NFL (not even concession stand workers), never played football at any level and I want to work in an NFL front office. What is the best way to make this dream come true? All responses welcome.

I think you'd have the best shot in the NBA.

Football doesn't seem like the sort of sport that lends itself well to statistical analysis in ways similar to baseball.

If this is comedy, I'm confused. It's just not funny.

If your serious, you should start by getting an internship. You can learn about the workings of an NFL franchise and the economic structure and in about 5 years, if your good you can become a "cap guru" or at least be part of a cap team. If you do a good job at that you can make a lot of money. Of course you will be close to 40 when this happens. Remember, Theo basically started when he was 16 or 17.
