A real bad run

This is probably more of a vent then anything, but I have been on the worst run I have ever had recently. I make good plays and get outdrawn, its driving me absolutely crazy! Whats the best medicine to cure the bad run blues? Example, I have pkt K's, everyone folds I am in SB. BB raises 5x after I check being afraid to scare him away and having already taken a good pot from him and knowing he wants revenge. I reraise another 5x and he calls. The flop comes 6JA, he goes all in with 2/3 of my stack. I agonize and decide since I know he wants to take me down, he probably doesnt have the A and is just making a move. I call, sure enough he has J3, the turn comes 3 and he wins the hand. Should I just take some time off?

God is mad at you for calling that all in.

That could well be, and I wouldnt normally call, but the way things played out I knew he wanted a piece of me

Play limit... seriously. At least for awhile.

I should also state that I play mostly SNG tournament poker.

Helps to vent, but have recently gone trough the same deal. Down 5 K october, was up 10k september. It has however ironically helped me tremendously. It had me break down my game, and even though I get drawn out on still , I feel very good about my game, cause my repetoair is wider, my reads are better and I have learned to extract more from pots where I could have pushed and had callers, cause they will call any way and I know more often when they sucked out, maximising my wins and minimising my losses. It is all about recognizing the suckers. Also it helps to enter the real low stake limit games and go mental. You only bust 20$, or sometimes score, but it releases alot of frustration and its FUN! Yeah! and put on Rammstein, helps heaps.

Just dont abandon the sound structure you have based your game on, reinvent ways to deal with the fish!

For what it is worth, Stokken

Beats only get me disappointed for around 3-4 seconds.

After that, if I know I made the right decision and someone still outdrew on me, I don't care.

I can't care, you have to WANT people to TRY and suck you out, that's where you are the favourite everytime.

You WANT people to go allin for flush draws/straight draws, gutshots, 2 outers. If they don't how do we make any easy money?
