3/6 Stars AA vs a reraise

Haven't played much with Villain but he doesn't seem out of line. In 50 hands he was 22/2, if that matters much. I know I should 3bet preflop but I like to mix it up. Should I play this any differently?

This is about the worst possible flop. (Worse: KQJ, KKQ)

Forebodings aside, raise allin on the turn once you catch aces up. That card did not help him at all, he won't believe it helped you.

What's going to call that I'm ahead of, save for *maybe* Ace King (and that's stretching it).

3 bet here for sure if you have a LAG image-- he might take your open from the cutoff as a steal, and then be delighted to get it in with kings preflop after you 3-bet.

Flop is good.

Turn... meh. I'd prefer a raise to 300 and take a free showdown. All in seems bad, but you almost ended up all in anyway on river, so might as well.

I should have added that my image shouldn't be laggish at this point, but more taggish.

Results.

He had QQ and I lost a big pot.

Once that flop came down, I should have recognized that I was beaten. I guess I was hoping he had AK. A friend of mine suggested that I fold the turn - he thought it was unlikely that AK would fire again, but it was very difficult for such a small bet relative to the pot size. There's also certainly no guarantee that AK won't bet again. I think I certainly should have folded the river and I disagree with the posters who suggest for me to get it all-in on the turn, and I don't think I'm being results oriented.

Just a bad flop and a bad situation, I guess.

Because you *know* you should 3-bet it pre-flop why are you even continuing on this flop? Completely contradictory to what your pre-flop thoughts were. I don't mind just calling the re-raise sometimes but you've gotta let it go on this flop. This was played poorly.

To continue on this point of view, the only time you should flat call the raise preflop is when you are pretty sure he is big pair (jj-kk). I would probably three bet preflop since I don't know much about him, but when you hit a flop like this and you are putting him on jj-kk, you gotta fold to his flop or turn bet.

raise the flop so you will lead the turn! Dont give him any "free" cards to his pocket pair!

Fold on the turn. That bet SMELLS.
