How is the river play? Pretty bad. Check behind every time.

If I was going to bet, which I wouldnt, I would push in. $10 makes no sense.

Re: Tough river decision w/ AA

If I understand it correctly, Hero was OOP and Villain had position on Hero. Yes?

If that is the case, I c/c the river. You're getting very good odds to call, and he could have been calling down with a medium overpair just as often as with a flush draw. The king could be a scare card for him, but when you check he might decide to bluff you.

And the $10 on the river really doesn't make sense. That's less than 1/4 the pot. If you're going to bet that small, just check. As played, you have to call because you're getting great odds on your money. This situation just sucks, but I don't think you played it badly, except the river is a little wierd.

Tough spot without read.

I bet 10-12 on the turn and probably check river.

Villain had J-10 of hearts for the flush.

He typed, "Sorry I was bored," in chat. Gotta love it.

Check-calling the river does look best now...the $10 bet made sense to me at one time, but I don't know what I was thinking.

c/c river

one big problem with a $10 river bet is that it will be called by many hands that you beat that would've called the full $25, whereas pretty much everything beating you will raise all-in over the top.
so i would c/c here the vast majority of the time, if i bet out for whatever reason it would have to be a push.

If you check/call the river, nobody is going to bluff you here. PP will check behind. Push the river, a flush is going to take all your money anyway and there are no missed draw type hands to bluff you.

Check/Call the river

How come almost everyone who posts in small stakes never has a read on their opponent? I don't get it. If you just sat down, fine, but if I had to put a guestimate it seems like almost 70% of posts here don't have reads.
