what are these sites that get you in trouble with PP?

I've read about Poker Prophecy and PE(whatever that is). All I hear though is, I went to this site and PP emailed me that I needed to stop. What are these sites? what do they do? And will I have problems with party if I go to them?

Party have taken the decision to block Poker Edge and Poker Prophecy and as those software providers have now switched their service to a website based product, Party have started taking action on players visiting these two sites whilst playing. You wont have any trouble if you dont visit those websites with the Party Poker client logged on.
