HU advice needed

Yesterday I played HU cash games for the first time ever.
Played .05/.10 for 3-4 hours.

One question is what to do when your the BB and SB completes.
If your holdings are weak is it good to check to see the free flop or should you be raising the vast majority of the time?

Depends on what you think he's completing.

Depends on the button. It is standard fo SB to be the button. If this is true, I would check more than raise because I am out of position and I don't want to inflate the pot.

depends on the situation. HU poker is a feel game, but in general raising out of position with marginal hands is bad poker. you dont want to be inflating the pot when the opponent has position because his implied odds will usually go up because of that position.

however, if he is the type of player to just play hit or miss when you take control of the hand, raising preflop and betting any flop is going to make you A LOT of money.
