Home Tourney Chip Count/Denominations

I am hosting a home tourney of +/- 20 people. Starting chip count is going to be T2000 per player. I have a blind structure of 15 rounds going from 15-30 to 2000-4000. The problem I am trying to solve is that I have (3)- 500 chip sets, all with the same color denominations. I don't have any one color with more than 500 total chips of that color. I have five different total colors of chips (red, green, blue, green, black, grey). Any suggestions on chip values and starting chip stack quantities?

How many of each chip do you have?

Why not start at T1000 and use the blinds at www.homepokertourney.com

Just wanted to make the tourney last a bit longer than the T1000 format shown. Also, more chips usually lends to better tourneys in my experience. Think that's my best bet though?

Just give everyone T1000 chips, and add a 5/10 round at the begining. Each player starts off with 100 times the big blind. If you want the tournament to last a little longer, you can always make the rounds longer.

More chips in relation to what? The blinds? T1000 vs T5000?

And without exact counts of your chips by color, this is hard to answer intelligently.
