Played about 30 hands with our guy. He is 64/17/1.3.
Just an awesome player really

Anyone go into check-call mode after he calls the flop ?
Anyone bets less/more on turn ? Call the push ?

I take the same line as you and expect TPTK or TPGK from a maniac like this.

Its a good call... but I bet fish turns over K5 or some such garbage.

The problem with playing someone with such a large VP$IP is that there is no good way to know what he is holding.

I like your line a lot, i think its the way to play it. Although with this guy you could have checked and he would have pushed....

I was thinking "FOLD THE QUEENS YOU DONKEY" when I read about this hand.

I'm not saying you are a donkey. The phrase just popped in my mind. The pusher must have been one, though.

Why call?

It's kinda funny. This hand is almost exactly like one I played last night. Almost identical villain. Almost identical cards except I had AA and villain had 45s. Called my PSB on the flop w/ bottom pair. Caught trips on the turn and check/raised all-in.

I also called, and I'm still debating it. At the time it played out I "knew" he had the 5, but called anyway.

What's the rational for calling?

And....does the fact that MY villain check-raised rather than just raise make a significant difference? (I vote for yes).
