Sneeze...stars?

I've pretty much always held my nose while sneezing. In the last couple of years some of my sneezes are followed by brief periods where I can see multiple small bright movements. I don't know if this is equivalent to what people call "seeing stars," but I want to know if I should be concerned.

The pressure is building up and your head is weakening. It will explode soon. Good luck.

sounds like the same thing that happens when you get up really fast after sitting for a long time. i think it has somethign to do with the oxygen content of the blood around your eyes. nothing to worry about.

don't hold your nose though, ive heard that can be bad for your inner ear.

Happens to me all the time, my guess would be it has something to do with the blood vessels in your eyes emptying/refilling with blood, but I'm too lazy to look it up right now.

Dont hold your nose. Simply cover it and your mouth with your hand. Its probably an old wives tale, but supposedly you can cause some sort of damage holding doing this.

I once read somewhere that a sneeze leaves the body at like 100 MPH.

That's a lot of speed. Shutting off part of it's exit path doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

Use your hand to cover your nose and mouth or get a hanky.
