tournaments or maybe 6max holdem.more people makes a living playing tournaments than by manwhoring, so that's many i guess. the usual winrate in 33dollar tounaments is 23.16 an hour. or you can go by tounaments won which should be a third of them. hourly rate works by being the rate at which you win money in an hour.

... or you read the FAQ

This has been depressing me lately. I think the key is to focus on yearly rate, and not hourly rate. According to Slim Picken's poll, only 8 people in this forum have played more than 10k sngs. Generously assuming that all of them were able to do 20% ROI at the $55's or better means that maybe only 8 players in this forum have made more than $100k at sngs in their life. I'd guess closer to 5. Sure, everyone is on track to make $600k / year with their $300/hour rate, but somehow they get burned out. I'm really confused about where to take my game now.

Take it to the 22's... and get yourself a trackball.

Thats a good point. Im going through a definite burnout, and I've only played about 20 hours in the last month and a half. Now I'm kind of regretting not taking longer and just spending as much time as I have on SNGs not spent on limit cash games. I've made a ton of money, but lately I just can't get motivated and have made <$2500 in the last two months. Now I'm debating whether or not to devote some serious time to the study of limit, and just use my bankroll to move up swiftly.

I like to mix it up as much as possible. I play a heads up match, then switch to 6 handed, then to a full table and then to omaha...etc...If you don't have any fun at all doing what you are doing then you shouldn't be doing it, unless it is very very lucrative. I define very very lucrative as over 175K per year in the midwest and over 225K in more expensive places.
