editing avi\'s

so I have these avi's of me playing poker. I want to do 2 things to them. one is put a black box on the screen to block my screenname. I would like to be able to leave it there from frame x to frame y. next I'd like to speed it up so it's not so boring to watch.

is tehre a program that'll let me do this? thanks

You should also check out http://www.videohelp.com for various guides on how to do the things you requested. A popular program in that site is virtualdub, like cosmonaut already said. Good luck...

Re: editing avi\'s

make sure you put black boxes over the hand numbers also, cause people can find out your screen name that way.
