Push w/ small stack at table?
 

Two hands that made me unsure because of the size of the short stack...Assume no reads, average 10+1 players.

I push 1, fold 2, might be wrong, depends on reads too.

Hand 1 is as easy a push as you're going to see.

Hand 2 is certainly steal-able with smaller blinds, but any steal attempt here jeopardizes your entire stack.

if the blinds were smaller you wouldn't push to steal here. Since the blinds are juicy it makes for a good steal. Plus it would keep the short stack short, and stop him from stealing his way back into the action. I like pushing both hands here. Unless of course you pushed the last one, then I fold K8, but not AK.

Yeah, I don't want to say "never steal here" because there's certainly times where you should. It's really table dependent though and not as cut and dry as the AK push is.

yeah that second one is gonna be on gut. if your image is fairly tight and you thing those guys will let it go, go ahead and push. small stack probably won't call because he's hoping the big stack will call and bust you. big stack will only call will fairly good holdings.
