Home Tourney - was this a bad call?

$60 home tourney. Down to 4 players, top 3 pay. Blinds are 150/300. I'm in the big blind with 5 7 diamonds and have about T900 left in my stack. UTG who is weak tight goes all in for T750. It's folded around to me and in the process 9 spades is exposed. I call, figuring that my cards are likely live (didn't even think about needing the 9) and I'll be pushing it all in the middle soon anyway. Correct move?

Thanks

what were the other player stacks? If villian is tight, what do you think he is pushing utg with? do you really think he is pushing with anything that is an underdog to 57s?

Unless you just lost a hand, you should have pushed with any two cards before the blinds got to you the last time.

You have no folding equity, so waiting for a better hand after the blinds is a waste of time.

You are going to need a miracle to do anything. Your only hope if you don't push here is just to sit back and wait to see if the the next small stack will lose before you, but I doubt it.

Bad situation, you have very few good options.

Calling is bad but not as bad as not calling.

Ugh! So you can be blinded out on the very next hand if you lose?
Dump the hand and wait to get through the SB and push on a big card.

I agree with Lottery Larry here. You're sure to get a caller if you fold this one and push next time you see a hand with a high card . Plus, you'll probably get a better hand than 75s, although not necessarily much better. I'd fold and wait here.

Good luck,
Matt
