Any Info On When Ceaser\'s Poker Room Is Opening?

I heard it is going to be the biggest room in LV and was wondering if anyone knew any details about opening dates, how they are going to be raking, and what kind of staff they are bringing in to run the room?

The last info I heard was that Caesars would open in October or November. I received that info a few months ago, but it's already October, and it isn't open.

I expect a lot of the staff to come from other Harrah's owned properties properties (Bally's, Flamingo, etc.)

If they are going to be getting weak staff, do you think they will be able to handle such a large poker room?

Whenever I asked anyone from the Ceaser's organization or other poker room staff, they all told me they would be getting around 70 tables.

"High-limit games packed with intrigue and card playing strategies set the stage for excitement and gossip while across the room, low-limit tables afford the relaxed player hours of pleasure and casual conversation."

Who writes this crap?

Besides a remarkable 8,500 square feet poker room, Caesars Palace is one of the only casinos to offer a private tournament area. Historically, poker tournaments are played within the poker room. Consequently, poker play is compromised or cancelled altogether to make room for tournaments. The decision was made not to inconvenience players at Caesars Palace, thus providing a 6,000 square-foot tournament area directly adjacent to the main poker room.

Suited to the recreational poker player as well as the seasoned veteran of the game, the Caesars Palace poker room will feature 30 tables offering a vast array of games including Texas Hold’ em, Seven-Card Stud and Omaha, a game rising in popularity around the world.

My guess is the "cash-game room" with 30 tables plus x amount of tables in the "tournament area" will add up to something resembling the rumored 70 tables. My guess is 50-60 total.

A jopke with no clue on poker, probably a snobish, yet under achieving, harvard english major who thinks CPS is:

packed with intrigue and card playing strategies and full of excitement and gossip

Oh yeah and a big fan of the E! channel.

Then it is effectively a 60 table room when tournies aren't running. I can't imagine they'll refuse to spread games in the "private" tournie area if I tournie isn't running and they have the interest for more games.
