Hello all,

$115 live tourny, 100 players down to 19, top 10 get paid. I have about 22,000 chips blinds are 600/1200 300 ante. I am about average chips stack. I was dealt KQo in BB, everyone folded to sb who made it 5000, I have played with him since the start of the tournament and at first he was very aggressive but has tightened up as we got close to the money. What would your move be?

I forgot to mention that he has me covered.

most likely a blind steal with Ace rag or small pocket pair. Being the amateur that I am, IMO for 1/4 of your chips, I would fold. (BTW what was your table image ... tight?)

My image is a solid tournament player, tight most of the time.

Calling is out of the question here. No way I'm calling off like 22% of my stack then folding when the aggressive player pushes the flop.

So, it's either push or fold here. If your image is tight, I think a push is good here. You may get him to fold a slightly better hand like A-rag or a low pair.

Of course, if you're known for resteals or you think the opponent will call (and, getting something like 1.8:1 on the call, he may well do so with A-rag or a baby pair), then fold and be done with it.

I really need some input from you guys about this hand. Is it a call, fold or push?

My default is to fold, but you're not in bad shape vs his range here, even if you give him a decent one.. So a push could be best. I doubt he raises AA/KK that much, so you should have at the very least 3 outs. I think i push like 40% of the time. Fold the rest.
