Fishy slowplay?

BB is 40/18/2.5, button is very loose and very passive.

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is CO with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
2 folds, Hero raises, Button calls, 1 fold, BB 3-bets, Hero calls, Button calls.

Flop: (9.50 SB) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB bets, Hero calls, Button calls.

Turn: (6.25 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB bets, Hero calls, Button calls.

River: (9.25 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, Button folds, BB 3-bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 15.25 BB

Is this a clear turn raise? Or is a slowplay in order? My fear is primarily splitting with a gutshot or should I just call and hope button is staying in with a hand that is drawing dead?

Hm... leaning towards a turn raise already as I may get to cap and button may be loose enough to call two with very little. Pretty standard I guess?

Once I decide to only call the turn I have to play the river this way right?

I don't think 2.5 is passive at all. Raising the turn is a good idea. It's likely the K helped the BB and you'll get some action.

I'm referring to button (who was 0.5 or something like that), getting overcalls from him.

Definitely raise this turn. They might just put you on a K, BB might even have a good K and reraise. And its also likely that button is still drawing and will even call 2. Charge button for his draws and punish BB for putting you on a pair.

I would definately raise the turn here, but if I didn't, I'd cap the river. Since you can't get 5-bet, you only have to be ahead more than 50%.

Also, a very loose player will probably call with a gutshot. Even 2 bets sometimes.

Yeah you need to put in a bet there before the river. Probably the turn. There are hands that he wont call the river with that he'll call the turn raise with. Plus there are also hands that he'll call the turn raise with and might still make a crying call on the river with, like KJ.

But am I? The river 3-better 3-bet preflop. What do you put him on that I beat?

I think this is a boat at least 70% of the time.
