Live STT, What to do if you\'re the best player but have odds to call

I played some STT's over the weekend and found them to be very profitable at this indian casino. My STT online experience made these seem like high school compared to the major leagues. I took down 2nd in the first session, (top 3 spots pay), took down first in the next. In my last one of the night, I was on the button, 5 saw the flop. I had Ax suited and two of my suit flopped. I had two all in's ahead of me. I stongly felt like I was the best player at any table I sat down at. I had the preflop money in the pot from 5 limpers (no pre flop raise), I think 500 total and the two all ins ahead of me with stacks about equal to my 1500. Given I had 10 outs (I'm assuming my A was one out given someone may have a stronger A). Would you call given the pot odds are favorable and try to draw out the nuts? or given you feel you are the best player, would you be patient and wait for a better opportunity?

Calling when you have favorable odds is what makes you the best player, not folding in profitable sitautions.

How many were left in the tourney at that point?

I think i'd wait. even if you get the flush, it's quite possible one of the two allins has a set and could still get their full house.

wow, just as i was getting back to this thread to make the exact same comment. good job.

i mean, if the stacks are reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally deep, you can start folding when your odds are great, but otherwise, even live tournaments, there's another one tomorrow and all that, folding so you don't bust out and you can outplay people later is overrated.

I often feel like Im the best player when I'm playing. Two notes:

1. I understand I might be wrong about this theory, thus don't let it greatly affect my play

2. I almost never pass up a CLEAR +EV play because I have some belief that I can outplay everyone later. This is related to rule number 1.

Also realize you aren't the only person who goes into a poker game thinking they are the best. However if you let it affect your play too often, you probably aren't the best.

if the structure is really good i would fold, because then you have plenty of time for your skill to takeover. but, mostly call because you don't have lots of time to wait for a better spot.

Hmm. Maybe I'm doing the math wrong, but I don't think he has favorable odds. 10 outs, 47 cards left in the deck. 1500 in chips, 3500 chips currently in the pot.

Is the work day throwing me off here? Does he have pot odds?
