What about a 2+2 \"league\" for WSOP 2006 seats?
 

Not sure where to post this one, so anyone feel free to move it if you can.

I can put this together if enough people are interested. We may have to
open it up to other forums to get enough people. I'm open to suggestions as
well.

We have weekly NLHE tournaments with say a $20+2 fee. We withhold say $200 from
each event (held by the poker room) and pay out the rest. If we start in December, we will have roughly
7 months, or 28 weeks before WSOP 2006. That could be 28 tournaments.

We have a leaderboard, top 10 play a 1 table tournament for a WSOP seat or 3-4
preliminary event seats. Or, the last tournament could be just one big supersat
to give away as many $1,500 seats as possible (with entry fees plus all the
withheld money).

We could adjust the numbers however we want. We can increase what is being
withheld or just withold $200 and play for more preliminary event seats.

Let me know everyone's feedback.

As long as we make commercials with random guys sprinting around their neighborhood yelling "We're gettin the league back together!!!111" I see no problem.

I would be interested, however, if I were to run such a league I would do it so we ran sats to a $500 or $1000 '2+2 main event' which people could buy in directly and run a $30+$1 satellite or $50. For a once a month tourney we could probably easily get 2 seats a month into the main event sat and likely give away a few $12,000 packages.

it seems like KKsuited's idea was to just give out not-main-event seats.

i think i'll be sticking to party/stars/bodog to try to win my wsop seat, but I would be interested in some sats to the smaller events through 2+2.
