Married couple plays 4-8 limit w kills at casinos here in vegas.

I started playing a lot w my wife in casinos in vegas. Right now we only play in casinos where they have jackpots including stardust, stations casinos, sahara,... we've been involved in 1 jackpot. just got a share. But we've been winning lately and what is also cool is we get 1 dollar comps per our. We usually play next to each other. I'm more aggressive so she usually plays to my immediate left. Now i'm thinking we shouldn't play like that all the time. I should start i should start sitting to the loose players to my immediate right which means changing seats. There's pros and cons. When we're not in the hand, we talk about how certain players play if we're next to each other, and there is less risk to go on tilt because of our consoling of one another. We keep getting better and better in limit, so later on we can supplement our incomes a whole lot by playing together on the same table. We don't cheat, there's a lot of couples playing all the time. We don't want to ever get kicked out of a casino either like our favorite casino right now Green Valley Casino. What do you think, is it better strategy to set apart? There's pros and cons to both. Any advise for married couples or whatever, just respond thanks.
Anyone know of any good places to play here in vegas that has good jackpots and nice games?

FYP.

On another note, I would have no problem with husband/wife sitting together in low limit stuff. There are players that are very aware if you play as a team or individually. I play with a buddy a lot in games and we do the same things like discussing hands and just chatting when not involved in pots and so on. We just don't go home together. As for jackpots, do you mean high hand or bad beats?

I got seated in 4/8 game while waiting for a 10/20 seat to open up.

The 4/8 seat was right BETWEEN a wife and husband "team" (as it were...they certainly weren't cheating.
Just kind of annoying being right in the middle of all their chatter.
Nice enough forthe most part...but the guy (on my right) was a little drunk.

Thought the woman was the better of the two players although she kept inadvertently flashing her hole-cards to me even though I was trying not to see.

If that was in Vegas, it most undoubtedly was the Orleans. I use to beat that 10/20 pretty well when I had my days free. The old local rocks are not very good players even though they think they are pros.

I tend to stay away from badbeats because of the "administrative fees" and so on that places take out of them to make a buck. I prefer high hands that 100% goes back to the players and you can see what's there at any time.

I play in quite a few rooms though. Aladdin, MGM, Wynn (once), Mirage, GVR, Nugget, Plaza. I use to play at the Orleans, Palms, and Palace Station. I wont go back to the Palms because of the constant teams and management does nothing because the rake is maxed and the table stays full.

My husband and I both play as often as we can. Sometimes at the same table--sometimes not. But when we do play at the same table, we USUALLY prefer not to sit next to each other. Actually, I kind of prefer to sit at a different table--I just don't like to get involved in pots with him--it "feels" funny. When we ARE at the same table, I play just as competitively against him as I would against any other player, though. And I defintely don't like to set right next to him, for the most part. But, unless you actually ARE trying to team up (which would be a very bad idea, IMO), I don't think that would make any difference in your game.

First---do not limit your play to rooms with jackpots only. You are cutting a lot of games that could bring $$$ to your pocket----

Second----I would tell you to play at two tables... This will give you more play to win more $$ in the long run.... If you and your wife end up playing a hand heads up that takes away from your profit for the day---Why not use each hour played to win the max. amount of $$....

If me and my wife are heads up, we always check it down. why would we give more collection to the house? Maybe your right about losing money cuz all the games on the strip right now are juicy. But I just feel i'd rather try to get lucky w a jackpot. And if both of us are sitting down when a jackpot hits, that's a few hundred dollars extra in our pockets. This is another debate.

My wife and I sometimes play at the same table. Usually I'm playing higher, but if we are in a room that only has 3/6 or 4/8, we'll play together no problem.

When we are heads-up, we always play it out. Of course, we're more willing to make loose calls on the end.

It usually becomes clear pretty quickly, regardless of where we are sitting, that we are together. I always will show a hand at the end if there was someone else besides us in, just to make it clear we aren't colluding.

One night at the Aladdin 3/6 we were heads-up after the flop betting. It was a fun table and everyone was getting along. The dealer just ran the cards out (all-in style) rather than letting us playing it down to the end. Initially I was startled, but it lightened the table up even more, which was cool. I was disappinted because I like to play it out, but his presumption kept the game light and sped it up, so I couldn't complain.

The reaction at the table when your wife 3-bets you is pretty amusing. Just remember to keep it fun and keep it on the up-and-up and you'll do fine.

Regards,

T
