party poker and why I may never return

I recently cashed out all my funds from Empire poker and I am sitting here waiting to see what party wants to do with me (the sub optimal player). I am one of the winning poker players who they don’t give a dam about. They claim they will tolerate me but it doesn’t look like they will go out of their way to make my return to them easy.

Empire realized the importance of a high volume player long ago and they had the reward system implemented long before party even considered having one. Party seems to be more worried about who gets the fishes money. Rake alone is clearly not enough for them this is why they are turning their poker room into a casino. Not just any casino but one that offers black jack that hits SOFT 17! Why does it hit soft 17??? Because they treat the fish or “optimal players” with the same disrespect they give everyone else. Add to all this horrible customer service and that’s about all I can stand. I just re-deposited some of my roll back into Empire and I may never look back. All I need are some good games and as of right now the games are scarce but they for some reason are better then they were before this fiasco. I encourage all 2+2ers to give other poker rooms a serious consideration before you return to a CASINO that believes you will come back regardless of how they treat you.

The skins really got what they deserved. They valued the high volume player because they didnt have to worry about restocking the fish pool that was partys job, now they are going to have to kick their marketing in high gear or their sites are going to dry up. That said im sticking with the skins too.

It's about time people figured out that Party Poker sucks.

Guess what, nobody misses you. As long as Party provides the best games, I'm there. I've made decent money over the years at Party/Empire and look forward to even better games.

And your point is?

"Guess what, nobody misses you."

Party is doing a good job of delivering this message. My experience with the vast majority of multitablers is they take less fish money and produce more rake per seat then the average winning player. They sacrifice some profit per table to make more on volume. This increases the number of players at the tables and lessens the skill of the pro at any particular table. If you owned a casino would you rather have 1 pro sitting at 1 table taking 3bb per hour or the same pro filling 8 seats and taking 1bb per hour at each table? There are plenty of 8 tablers in the 215 sng's who can barely beat the game but rely on rakeback heavily for profits at the end of the month. Do you really want me to believe this type of player is not valuable to party? Party is either bluffing or they are so poorly managed they cant see this. Since it is Party we are talking about I vote for the latter.

“As long as Party provides the best games, I'm there. I've made decent money over the years at Party/Empire and look forward to even better games.”

I can only comment on the Stars Turbo sng’s but in my sample Poker Stars players have no idea what they are doing. Its just a fallacy that party has the most fish. Fish are everywhere.

And your point is?

Party is over rated

Are you kidding me? Does everybody really believe that all the players at Empire are rakeback pros? I know for a FACT that around 90% of the players at Empire are non rakeback players who signed up through Empire's many different avenues of mareketing. EP has marketed for years in the same matter than PP has, bringing lots of fish into the pool.

There are plenty of good games to be played at Empire and now, more than ever, the bonuses and rakeback will be at their peak.

I would never pay a single dollar in rake to Party Poker.

If you love Empire because of "how they treat you" and hate Party because of "how they treat you"....

Why did you take all your money out and stop play at the place you love, to try to hurt the place you hate?

If you were smart you would continue to play there and buy party stock. that way you make money from the fish in the games and at that blackjack tables.
