Ax8o

Can I get some guidelines on how to pay this hand? I have been seeing fourth with it because it has an ace, but I usually toss it when my opponents hit a better low draw.

Any rules of thumb for this hand in S8b? Like A28 A68etc.

I'm assuming you're taling about stud8.

It's a tricky hand. I definitely take a card off if I can limp (this may be wrong at Party 5/10 & 10/20's tight structure). Questions to ask yourself: live aces? live two flush? odds? eight concealed (to get a better low to fold)?

The problem with this line is that you'll be folding fourth whenever you and your low opponents catch good. I'm not saying you should always stick around when you catch good, just that you have to consider other factors. If you intamuck fourth when a low catches goods, you might as well fold third.

Kind of what I have been thinking.

Yeah, but when a low hand catches good on fourth, you basically have to dump.

If "x" is a wheel card, I'll play if it's cheap. It's helpful if I have two to a flush, especially if the Ace is one of the suited cards. I don't usually play hands like this in early position, because the games I usually find myself in are more aggressive than I think most of you guys are used to.
