opening with pocket pairs

assuming an average 30/60+ game. what pairs do you open with from from each position. I've seen strong plaeyrs with each of the following:
(number off button)
7: 99+ 66+
6: 88+ 66+
5: 77+ 55+
4: 66+ 44+
3: 55+ 22+
2: 55+ 22+
1: 55+ 22+
button: 44+ 22+

can you open raise with any pair in the hijack or cuttoff? seems a little loose. how about UTG, isn't 99 a little too tight?

I'd be the left column.

I am mostly closer to the left hand column. However, I am currently of the unscientific opinion that 99 sucks as I got it 4 times last night and lost every time.

So I may strike 99 off my UTG list unless it shows adequate improvement. Or become one of those curious UTG limping hands along with AA

All depends on how likely you are to be cold called or if there are loose 3-bettors behind you. I usually open 77+ UTG in the right situations, otherwise limp 77-99 and occasionally fold 77.

thanks for the responses. i'm more curious about hijack, co, and button play though. what do you think min openers are there?

it depends on the blinds obviously, but 22 is just not playable imo.

My list is:

7: 77
6: 77
5: 77
4: 77
3: 66
2: 55
1: 55
button: 44

7: 77+
6: 77+
5: 77+
4: 66+
3: 55+
2: 44+
1: 22+
B: 22+

I would be curious to see how people play their pairs after one unknown UTG limper.

7. 99
6. 88
5. 77
4. 66
3. 55
2. 44
1. 33
button. 22
This is assuming a typical tight game where 2-3 players seeing the flop, and for those seats closer to the button, you'll often times you'll steal the blinds.

The above table does not apply in a loose passive game, where you can limp 5 from the button, expect 4 callers the majority of the time, with no raise.
