Villain is a major donkey that chases a lot. I pick up QQ here. Should this be a call. A re-raise is kind of pointless without putting him all in.

How often has Villain raised PF, and has he shown any down?

If he'd been limping regularly, a by-the-books raise would send up warning signals, and I'd just call, hoping to re-evaluate on the flop. You also have position in your corner.

Villain has been raising more than usual and called a pretty large all in with A2 suited.

I know I can't flat call here, right? Is the all in too much? I do have the third best starting hand in poker.

Re-raise to 450-500. Call if he pushes. If he just calls and the flop brings an Ace beware. With an M of 40+ and a bunch of live players behind you a push is overdoing it.

I think I'd give this same advice even without knowing the results, but I can't be sure. So it's your own fault for giving me results when i don't want them.

Well I gave the results in order to ask if I should have just re-raised or push. I thought a push would get a call from him, which I wanted, knowing I had to be a large favorite.

On the other hand a 500 re-raise could get me off the flop if an ace comes.

Looking at your stack, you have 65xBB, and it's very early on. You've also got information that Villain is overly LAG, but likes aces (from the A2 hand).

Pretending I don't know the outcome, I still prefer the flat call, and then depending on the flop, re-raise him. I think that given his history, he'll call any PF re-raise you try, and you end up in the same position.

I'm admittedly a little too tight for my own good, but a limp-raise PF this early indicates at least an Ax, with a 15% chance he's got 88+.

I'm always more confident with a second-best hand after a flop this early.

Also you probably get his stack if the flop comes jack high.

Only with more money in the pot as a likely dominating favorite. The re-raise is not intended to get him out; we want his money in there. In addition the re-raise is intended to isolate this donk and keep others out of the pot. Flat calling here is bad.

With your stack size there no reason to push all in with QQ even if you know he will call with raggy hands. Especially when you know he likes to play Ace any. Reraise to put more money in the pot with a hand that your sure you a favorite. When/if the flop comes with an Ace then your not/shouldn't lose your whole stack. I really think that a lot of people on this board are affraid to play flops.

If you know he will call with much worse hands, why give him a chance to get away from a bad flop for him when you can get all his chips a much bigger percengage of the time? Also, if he has ANY aggressiveness in him, I just love calling his 88-JJ and folding to a bet on the A high flop. If he will call with many worse hands, I like your all-in.
