Keep firing?

Is it dumb to keep betting like this with flopped TPTK into someone who just keeps on quickly calling? If the betting's fine, I betting too much, too little, or am I OK?

1. Why are you overbetting on the flop?
2. Why are you underbetting on the turn?
3. Why are you betting a measly $5 on the river?

Answer these questions and we can talk about the hand. FWIW right now I put villain on QJ or QT as a better hand should raise at some point.

I also agree that the amount you bet on each street was a little off in relation to the pot sizes, but I would continue to fire on every street and expect AQ to be good a majority of the time.

QJ, you're good.

To answer your questions,

1. I overbet so that one call wouldn't lead to another and price in the flush draw.

2. Right here I think I'm ahead and want a call.

3. Hmm... there's the key. If I wanted a call, why did I get flustered when he did call?

Thank you very much, good questions.

I agree, given the over bet on the flop it's difficult to read the opponent. If opponent had tp he could've/should've raised a normal sized flop bet to find out where he's at but the overbet kind of messes with that.

I would raise pre here though.

River, what an ugly card. I guess that's a blocking bet and it looks like you've won the hand to me.

This is silly. You're letting hands like QK and QJ off too easy, as they may fold to an overbet. Moreover, if one person chooses to call the overbet (because they have you beat, most likely), the 2nd or 3rd person is still going to call if they want to play a multiway pot with a draw, even for the overbet. Flop overbetting is generally bad.

But if he has hearts you're giving him a cheap shot at it. Moreover, if he is calling down with QJ or QK, he'll pay more than just $5. Bet closer to the pot here (although if I played it the pot would be smaller because I would have bet less on the flop).

The K is a really bad card for you here. When he doesn't raise the turn, I put him on some sort of Q (QK, QJ, QT) or possibly hearts. The flush got there and QK just 3-outed you. I likely bet 2/3rd pot and fold to a raise; then again, by the time I get to the river the pot is a touch bigger.

Bet pot on flop, 3/4 on turn, check call reasonable river bet.

Nothing wrong with raising PF.
