Foxwoods waiting lists

How bad are the Foxwoods table waiting lists? I'm heading up to Connecticut on Friday to visit a buddy of mine, and we're hitting Foxwoods on Saturday? Any recommendations/advice? I visit the casinos in AC on a regular basis, so if you can compare Foxwoods to AC, that'd clear it up in my mind. Thanks.

The closer you get to the World Poker Finals, the longer the wait will be. Expect longer for NL, Limit not so long for Stud and Omaha. Average wait on weekends around 2 to 3 hours.

The key on a saturday is to get there early. I haven't been there in a while, but when I went regularly, if you show up around 9 or 10AM, you won't wait very long. Also, the lists clear out in the late evening as well, say around 8-9PM.

well I have been down about 4-5 times in the last couple of months on friday and saturday nights. i've been getting there primetime like 8-9 pm on friday and either 10-11 am on saturday or 4-5 pm. I have the 5/10 and 10/20 limit lists to be around 30-90 min wait, average around 45. My gf plays 2/4 and 4/8 and 2/4 is always called first in about the same, 30-90, avg 45 or so. I have seen very short lines in 1/2 NL in these games, I think jsut because of how many tables they run. I have taken a seat at the 1/2 table to wait for my name on a couple occasions, enjoyed a couple hours of rake free poker -- make sure not to sit right before the time charge if you do this.

How do you pull this off?

Friday night this past weekend.. Room full of people cheering for either the red sox (mostly) or the yanks.

8pm:
1/2 NL: 5-20 minutes
5/10 kill: 15-25 minutes
Most of the other games seemed to have comparable waits, as they were opening new tables quite efficiently based on demand.

Things began to slowly thin out, however..

1am:
all games, barring 75/150 mixed: open seating.

Expect up to an hour for the red chip games, slightly less for the yellow, and maybe 20 minutes for the poke-o-matic 1/2 nl.

Saturday night I've found to be worse than Friday night - and even at 8-9pm you might have to wait 45 minutes to an hour to get a seat, whereas Friday night at that same time is less of a wait.

This past Saturday: Arrived at 11:00 a.m. The list for the 10/20 game was 9 people deep. I also got on the list for 5/10 and was seated within 20 minutes.

After my dinner break, I waited almost 40 minutes for a seat to open up at either the 5/10 or 10/20. Got back on my old table.

They only seemed to be spreading 2 (maybe 3, I forget) 10/20 tables on Saturday.

If you're playing yellow chip games or the baby NL, it seems like they have many more tables running.
