Seat 7: UTG+1 ($303.30 in chips)
Seat 8: MP ($80 in chips)
Seat 9: MP+1 ($80 in chips)
SB: posts small blind $1
Hero: posts big blind $2
MP+1: posts big blind $2
LP: posts big blind $2
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to Hero [3h 5d Ad 5c]
3 fold, MP1 checks, MP2 calls, button raises to $10, SB fold, Heros calls, others fold

*** FLOP *** [Kc 3s 5h] (2 players)
Hero checks, button bets $20, hero ???

Should I check-raise/smooth-call or fold the flop? Would a flop pot in an attempt to take the pot down be safer? No reads other than the button is a competent aggressive player. Feedback and constructive criticism appreciated.

Depends on the aggression of the opponent. If he's likely to be taking a stab at the pot with naked low or AA, then a call may be OK (maybe a raise if the guy is a real idiot). If the turn brings an uncoordinated high, then pot it and expect to take it down most of the time. If the turn is low, you have to check-fold.

If the opponent is rated as relatively conservative postflop, I'd probably just fold--but this is rare.

I would probobly flat call here, and wait for the turn to be aggressive. If a card over 8 comes, Im playing aggressive, if one under 8 comes (doesnt pair the board) then im dumping it. Your raise wont get too many good low draws out, so thats useless. In this situation, you will either win a small pot or lose/split a big one.

Wait, was this on PS?

Did you repot?

(It's odd when you see a hand on here that you may have been a part of, or maybe even the villian.... I was playing this afternoon on the g/f's computer while she was studying.. no PT)

I would also flat call the flop and shove should a 9 TJQK5 or 3 hit. Any other card and I will possibly consider giving it up if strength is shown.
