Throwing a bet out there isn't bad either. It may let you avoid being outplayed by all the middle pairs and bluffs. That all depends on the button's steal standards.

You did fine though. Nothing weak about your play. It also helps you disguise monsters when you have them.

I think it's fine. You can sometimes bet/fold but you have to have a read. You are basically hammered against a normal capping range.
