Help- I got a virus that i can\'t remove
 

I was trying to download a game off of limewire ( i already own this game and it's a backup) and i opened it and AVG caught a virus trojan. I deleted it. Then later i was playing pool and a AVG pop up comes up and says i got some worm. It wouldn't let me deleted it or heal it or move to vault, so i clicked continue and did an AVG scan and found nothing. What can i download to get rid or worms? Please help.. i cant have someone get a keylogger or something on my PC. I have only logged into this site and i wont log in anywhere else until this is gone.

Usually you have to open up your computer and scrub your hard drive with sandpaper to take care of this.

Search the Symantec knowledge base (they're the makers of Norton). You'll find removal instructions.

And get a real virus scanner.

n00b, sandpaper's only good for spyware, not viruses.

get spybot search and destroy, run it in safe mode.
