LC: iPod Nano challenge

I want one.
2GB Black iPod Nano.
$179 with the education discount (college student), free shipping.

Plus, I've been meaning to join the challenge bandwagon anyway.

My challenge is to get the $180 in ~24 hours.

Starting @ 09/28/2005 4:30 PM.

Hopefully finishing sometime tomorrow afternoon.

I'll be playing the $11s, 8-tabling/continously.

I'll update every time I take a break.

Re: LC: iPod Nano challenge

if u do it continuously, u should be able to fit in around 12/hour...

9 hours x 12 =108 x 11 = 1188 * .15 = 178.20 + 27 rakeback

good luck!

Update #1

Exactly 2 hours into the challenge:

PT shows:

18 played / 21.21% ROI / 50% ITM / +$42.

There are at least 2-3 OOTM that I haven't received the summary for + 1 game (either finished 2nd or 1st) that I haven't received the summary for, so the numbers above are rough estimates.

I did run into a strange Party bug though.

2 tournaments finished at the exact same second -- the popup asking me whether I wanted the summary or not didn't appear for one of the tournaments, and the 'Congratulations brimstone1!!! You won $xx!!' sign didn't disappear, it just kept on going until I closed the window (left it on for like 20+ seconds for kicks).

I already jotted down the tourney # I missed and mailed multi about it, I should have it soon.

If that deal goes sour, I can always just compare records in PT against HDD HHs I have and see exactly which one I'm missing, then manually add the tourney into PT.

Oh well, I'm going to relax for about an hour and then continue.

So far so good.

Ah, just as I was about to submit this reply, one of the OOTMs arrived, making the stats:

19 played / 14.83% ROI / 47.37% ITM / +$31

Finish distribution: 1 / 3 / 5

Heh, keep in mind small sample + missing 1st :c)

edit: I got the summary from Multi (2mins after this post):

20 played / 31.82% ROI / 50.00% ITM / +$70

2/3/5 finish distro.

By the way, keep in mind the challenge is for an actual amount of money, not games played. So if I hit a giant 8-table-wide heater and suddenly hit my goal of $180, I'll consider the challenge finished and buy the goddamned iPod

Update 1.1

Got the remaining OOTM summaries as well;

in 120 minutes:

22 played / 19.83% ROI / 45.45% ITM / +$48
(2/4/5 finish)

About to start 2nd session.

Do the batteries wear out really fast on those? I have a shuffel and that piece lasted less than a year and my gf told me to get the battery plan from best buy but I thought the sales guy was trying to scam me.

Anyway I might be interested in one of those, If you like it, tell me your thoughts

I think it says 14-hour battery life on the website (the mini is 4, I think).

nano is 14, mini is 8. if you use the backlight a lot the nano probably gets around 7.
