Please tell me a 7 buyin swing in one day is ok!!! (HELP!)

Holy [censored], please guys, should I keep playing NL50 or move back down to NL25.

At NL25 I won for like 14PTBB/100 over 13k hands.

Today at NL50, here are my stats.

815 hands
VPIP 17.67 (way tighter than usual)
Money lost - $347 (!!!)
Wtsd - 24.56%
W%@sd - 34.62% (WHAT THE [censored] IS HTIS??)
PF Raise - 4.42% (more passive than usual, I got scared).

AA has lost $56
KK has lost $33
QQ has lost $69
JJ has lost $4.50
TT has lost $10

I have got a set 6 times, it has cost me $23 for the privilege, the w@sd for that 33%

High Card is a loser
one pair is a loser
two pair is a loser
set is a loser
straight is a loser
flush is a loser (-$6)
Full house and 4 of a kind are the only hands I have won money on time.

Is this the biggest downswing you've ever seen? I know it can't be, but I need to vent this very hard.

I've had bigger downswing though not in a day. I tend to stop myself from playing once I drop more than 5 buyins as I'm not sure I'm emotionally in control at that point.

tilt is like being drunk, you sometimes don't realize it when it happens.

I say move down for a while. get your confidence back, even if its like 5 buy ins at 25NL, then come back if bankroll allows it.

yeah, I'm gonna do that. My bankroll is still like $2500, so I can stay at the 50s... but I don't feel right emotionally.

Re: Please tell me a 7 buyin swing in one day is ok!!! (HELP!)

Wow, I thought I had it bad! I, too, just moved up to $50NL 6max, and have lost a significant amount of cash. It was all due to horrible, horrible, play on a select few hands though when I lost my stack.

You should probably go back to $25NL to build back up your roll, since $350 is a pretty significant amount.

Post some of your hands here where you lost your stack, let's see if you were playing poorly like I was. The higher stakes really freaked me out when I moved up a couple days ago, and seriously hindered proper play.

No not ok, you need to stop playing. These are the kind of tilts that can destroy a bankroll.

I've had some devastating (to me, anyway), but nothing like this, I don't think.

P.S. - $2500? That's what I keep to 4-table the $100s. The hell do you need with 50+ buyins?

Hehe.

I built this bankroll from scratch, so everytime I lose some of it, it hurts. That's why I play so within my bankroll. I'm switching back to NL25... and I'm staying away from poker for a few days.

Some of the hands I got stacked on:

This one is the one I stopped playing on... when I realised I was actually playing bad because of the losses before that

I think your raises and reraises preflop are too low.

especially in the AA hand.

Re: Please tell me a 7 buyin swing in one day is ok!!! (HELP!)

ok, 6-7BB instead of 4-5? And reraises like 10bb?
