($11 MTT) Flopped set - too slow or couldn\'t have seen it coming?

Hi all, would like to have some honest critique of my play here. No reads on the Villain. Limped hoping for a set (not much PFR at the table) and hit it, but only called the flop bet not really fearing any draws. The turn didn't set off any alarms either, and the push to me could have meant a nything from a draw to overs to two pair. Unfortunately he flipped over 52d and the river failed to pair the board. Should I be more paranoid here or was the smooth call on the flop appropriate?

I bet the flop here alot, fish love to call so let them.

Note: You should definately fold preflop here though, your stack just isn't that deep and it's not good poker to limp 1/11th of your stack to flop a set. The chips can be used in other situations to more effect imho.

how about these two:

a)raise preflop

b)raise or bet the flop, giving the guy with the 4-outer bad pot odds to call you.

wait, you want to raise OVER A LIMPER w/ 66. Stupid,- raising is far worse then calling. You are going to raise to 400 leaving you with ~T800 left to play with. You aren't going to have alot of play on the flop, you will have no clue where you are if the flop comes Q74 AND you are not even sure you will be in position on the flop. Raising just gets you into a messy situation that you can allievate by calling/folding.

I hate the preflop call. You are calling off too large a % of your stack for my tastes.

Push PF. With 11 BB, UTG+1 and holding a PP get your chips in.

Slow playing with a Short stack Isn't a good idea IMO.

I dissagree. I think pushing is the best option over calling. What do you do if some one after you raises? Fold? Then you just wasted 1/11 of your stack by call/folding like you suggusted.

At least by pushing you put the pressure on the rest of the table while you still have a shred of FE remaining.

ditto, calling for set value is something you do with big stacks. Id prolly push 66 here and hope to take the blinds.
