Just opened Scottrade account, how do I deposit?

I just opened my Scottrade account this Saturday morning. I can't call them on weekends and want to know how I deposit money into my account. I have an eCheck form that asks me to attach a voided check and mail it to them. After they receive this voided check, will this allow me to deposit money electronically or mail them a first check to open my account?

Thanks

Oh yeah, I'm almost ready to create my "What a complete noob investor has learned after 1 month of research" post.

The eCheck process should establish the ability to automatically transfer funds electronically from your bank account to Scottrade.

Don't forget to sign the Margin and Options agreement forms, even if you don't plan to use them initially.

I thought you had to send a personal check by mail or drop it at your local branch for your first depoist. Dunno what I had to do, anyways they give you a info packet at the local branch.
