Do you have to warm up before playing poker?

Today I played 4 sit and goes. My placings were as follows in the order listed.
1.5th
2.4th
3.1st
4.1st
I have found that my normal placings are similar to this. I get better then longer I play(at least to a point, then I get tired and do not play correctly)

Do you do this?
Is there any warm up methods or any advice you can give me to help my game?
Thanks

I'm gonna guess you have a tiny sample size and are taking meaning from where there is none

Now if you KNOW you make more mistakes in your first few, that makes sense, but looking at finishes doesn't

WTF are u talking about?
The only explanation for those results is that u 4 table on sets.

I will often masturbate furiously for a few minutes before I play, deliberately not finish, and then play my SNGs with the fury!

My warm-up procedure is to take a Ritalin and wait 30 minutes

i think that you do have to get into the right "frame-of-mind", and everyone has their own methods.

try browsing 2+2 for a half hour before you play--- might help

i usually replay a hand history or two from my previous day....

I have a tape that blares some techno and an overly excited man yelling "At seat 8, from Baylor university, Donkeysalwaysdraw" followed by thunderous applause as I load up my first set.

I should not have put the outcomes of my play up for display. But I basically know I play worse when I first get on my comp. I do not four table, I play 1-2 tables max. And I have hundreds of sit in goes logged. I know this is not thousands. But for at least the past few weeks (averaging 2-5 sit in goes per day), the tourneys that I play after i'm warmed up have better results. I have not worked on any type of warming up techniques, but don't really know where to start. thanks

Before I play, i like to:

- have nothing on my calendar to do for at least 3 hours (i do two sets of 4 on stars)

- select my tunes (todady is an Arcade Fire, Flaming Lips, Everclear and Wilco mix)

- remember that while a grand slam would be great, this is supposed to be fun, and if I play the right way, things work out.

After that, the rest is all cream cheese
