KK-weak tight

This is my first hand post and from the way I played it you will see that I need to post and get help more often.
The villain seemed good but was relatively new to the table so no real reads. After this hand (and a few more orbits) I got the impression that he is a rather good thinking player. The reraise preflop made me think big pp (JJ/QQ/AA) or maybe AKs.
The c-r gave me fits...
How would you play this? Any help would be appreciated
(Oh and my raise to 3.5 was a bit of a mistake. Meant to make it 5)

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed) converter

villain/ ($49.25)
MP2 ($46.25)
MP3 ($80.85)
CO ($10.25)
Hero ($61.20)
SB ($61.40)
BB ($17.70)
UTG ($36.35)
UTG+1 ($49.95)

Preflop: Hero is Button with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
UTG calls $0.50, 1 fold, villain/ raises to $2, 3 folds, Hero raises to $3.5, 2 folds, UTG folds, villain/ raises to $8, Hero calls $4.50.

Flop: ($17.25) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
villain checks, Hero bets $15, villain raises to $41.25, Hero ??
Results to follow.

Re: KK-weak tight

well, lets walk through this.

you put him on AA/QQ/JJ/AKs. with no K on the flop the only hand you beat is JJ, or AKs. I think you bet enough to knock out most players with the AKs, and unless he's REEEEALLY in love with his hand, the JJ. I'd hate it, but fold here.

I cry and let this go. There should be about $75 in the pot, and you'll need to call ~$26, getting about 3 to 1.
I agree with your hand range, unless you have a read that this is one of those guys that will reraise with 8-8 "cause my cards match." In lieu of that read, he has either A-A, K-K, Q-Q, or A-K clubs, or a bluff.
That said, we can reasonably rule out K-K as you have it (only half as likely, but still just disregard). That leaves A-A (you are 8.4% to win if he has an A clubs), Q-Q (you are 12.2% to win), and J-J (you are 90.1% to win).
The good news is he probably doesn't have A-Ks as he would need the K of clubs and you hold it.
Now your part is to figure out how likely you think it is that he has any of the above hands, only you can do that as you sat with him. After that, it's a simple EV calculation away from an answer.
As for my answer, Fold preflop (seriously, I think you have to let this one go, but I'd still call as I'm very stubborn).

Re: KK-weak tight

Does the villain's bet on the flop seem like an overbet...I suppose with his stack a c-r would have to be that large, however, it still seems a bit big to me.

Fold, you beat nothing from a reasonable player.

Re: KK-weak tight

I would put up one small argument for the reraise, while asking its validity. since so many people use it, often times as a sign of weakness while slowplaying... should it ever be used followed by say a c/r all-in semi bluff, or something along those lines??

anxious to see what the vets say about that.

I did fold. I guess that is was the way to go. I am still not sure what the C-R all-in means. I suppose he could have been scared of a flush draw on my part. On a related subject:
Does anyone think that my flop bet was too large?

Re: KK-weak tight

mistake was made preflop.

you charged way too little with that reraise for the vast amount of info you give out. I doubt you reraise with anything other than QQ-AA, maybe AK and probably not QQ and AK either.
