Commerce regular $9-18 players in $20-40, $40-80

I haven't paid much attention to the higher limit games at Commerce lately, but strolled over there briefly last night. I was shocked to see some of the worst $9-18 players in the $20-40 and $40-80 games. Loose, passive, weak calling station types. The types that could turn a horrible game into a good game just by their lone presence.

How do you guys keep from peeing in your pants in glee at the sight of these players?

I realize that as bad as they play I can be beaten by them through the short-term luck factor and by them sometimes picking up a slightly better hand than me.

If you told me you'd give me $10 if I rolled a 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 and I'd only have to give you $5 if I rolled a 6, I'd pee in my pants with anticipation. I don't care if I lose, I'm still wetting myself before I roll that die.

But if I can't afford to lose that $5, I won't play the game.

Most of those players are just steaming and donking off their last $500 or so. The next time they play they will be back to 9-18 or 4-8 or wherever their psychological/financial comfort zone is. Divide that $500 by 7 other players (+ the rake) not really that much $$. Still, having them is better than not having them. But one bad 9-18 player sitting in the game for 2 hours is not going to necessarily make your night.

Very good analogy. When I go to Commerce (and Bay 101 as well), I usually play 20/40. I find that a lot of the fish are only in the 20 game because they're waiting for the 40. As much as I'd like to follow them over, it's beyond my comfort zone, so I just stay.
