Doing the pledge of allegiance sucked and it gave me no additional pride in my country. This topic does nothing for me.

I'm really shocked, apalled, and offended. This hurts me in the heart the most. How could someone post a thread like this in OOT rather than Politics? Ugh, I feel awful just seeing the title.


Ok for real, it is pretty unconstitutional for a school teacher to recite something saying "were a nation under god" in a classroom.

Thank God. Nobody in a free democratic country should be made to pledge anything. No child needs mind control.

It sounds like the kind of thing that will go nowhere, though. The country has permanently turned down a road toward the integration of religion and government.
