Limping in late with AK.

there have been 2 notable instances in live games where i've limped in with AK (once suited, once not) after several limpers, and me in late position. they both went like this:

both times, i am in the CO, and at least 4 players limped. both times, there is no way i could raise enough to get more than a couple people to fold (these are pot limit games). both times, the big blinds were vigorous defenders. both times, someone to act after me has made a pot sized, or close to pot sized raise. both times, all the limpers called. both times, i made pot sized raises when it came time for me to act. once, i took the pot down right then, the other time, the initial raisor was the only caller, and i took him out when a K hit the flop (he had QJs, and flopped an open ender, and put all his chips in).

i really like the play myself...does anyone else? if you hate it, give me pros, cons, etc...

cheers!

I only hate it when people do it to me.

If you're relatively sure that someone behind you is going to bet, it's a great play. You end up with a lot of dead money in the pot.
