Sorry for the boring one. It just seems like he should never be bluffing here since my hand is so obvious, yet he should also rarely have a legit hand, so i'm just confused and call doown.

1) I am not sure that this is one of those "rarely have a legit hand" spots that we talked about before. i.e. his hand range is really wide here
2) It takes a special kind of player to semi-bluff into that much strength.... but....
3) Your hand might not be obvious to him

I don't think you are winning here very often but I always end up seeing the river since he might have two-pair and then paying off the river anyway.

i disagree, i think his LEGIT hand range is pretty small, although loose he coldcall first in. sure he could have sets, but i find it very doubtful he coldcalled first in with 45 56 for two pair??

I think i am usually either seeing a set, a turned flush draw or a random hopeful overcard bluff.

Anyone check the turn? Seems like the best option.

I play it the same way without any info on villian. However, if villian is sane and doesn't cold call raises with small pairs i think three betting the turn is an option since flush draw and overpair, especially 77 and 88 seem likely.

I assume you are correct since you are posting it... but when I play on party, people who see 40% of the flops have a lot wider hand range then that. Two pair and some straights via A3s, 53s, 43s type of garbage can not be so easily excluded.

Not saying that I automatically give someone credit for a straight... but giving them a bluff after all this strength has to be more rare then you think it is.

I'd usually 3bet the turn here, is that unreasonable?

Seems so, i imagine pocket pairs do something different either preflop or on the flop a lot of the time, and you are getting capped when behind with no equity.

Re: V standard one

When you get capped you can call and fold the river UI so you lose only a fraction of a BB more than by just paying off, and IMO 77 and 88 are some of his most likely hands after his turn raise. Or A6 for that matter. Or a turned flush draw. I'm just far from convinced you're behind, though having aggression stats on the opponent would help me make up my mind.

i dont understand why your poll doesnt include something besides those two options.
having said that, id play it the same on all streets. id never effing fold. threebetting the turn does nothing. if he picked up a flush/straight draw whatever, let him bluff the end. its not like im costing myself the pot.
