I don't like Chinese food but love chopsticks. I'm just fascinated with them. I doubt if I were to eat Chinese I'd use them though. Are they used for other food besides Chinese? I'm uncultured.

I eat tons of Chinese food but I never use chopsticks.

yeah i hate them too but my dad grew up in okinawa, japan (military child) so he says it's easier for him to use chopsticks than silverware and though i grew up with chopsticks i know that line is complete bullshit.

though it is easier to use chopsticks for sticky rice.

FWIW I am currently eating sushi with chopsticks because I have no fork, but I posted this because I think what I am doing is absurd, as are people who order Chinese food and eat it at home with chopsticks.

With chopsticks you can be much more selective and you don't have to stab at your food to get at it. Noodles are much easier to eat with chopsticks, IMO. Just because they are more difficult to use and aren't ideal for certain foods doesn't mean that using them makes you an elitist.

This just sounds like the usual ignorant I-don't-understand-it-so-it-must-be-garbage stance.
