tricky/scary TPTK oop: 6max 400
Villian just sat down, so no reads. 6max 400. Villian has 400 and I cover.
EP limps. I make it 20 to go with AJo. Folded to Button who minraises it to 40 straight. All fold to me, and I call (but hate it). Pot= ~90 Flop: J x x Hero?? My initial raise is standard in this game. It is a huge money maker and I do it with a lot less. I rarely get reraised. Frankly, I'm happier calling with 78s than AJo in this situation (mainly because anything less than 2pr is very tough to play with AJo). I decide that it's worth taking a shot and call. Is this wrong? Should I lay this down? On the flop, I think that the best line may be to stick in a 3/4 pot bet and see what happens. But I'm not sure... Thanks for your help, Marlow |

I play it the same (lead the flop).

Fold this one preflop - I just don't see how it can be profitable post-flop.

He already mentioned that he hated his call preflop.
I'd lead for very close to the pot here. Bet 90 and go from there. |
