Pre-tourney blind all-in agreement
 

If two players agree in chat to go all-in blind on the first hand, and then do so w/ marginal hands - that's cheating right?

Just happened in 25K on Stars. Probably ended up helping me in the end, but it still bothers me.

Often this is a scam, to try to encourage OOP players to push AT, AJ etc. (dominated hands) thinking they have the best of it, so that in level 1, the provoker getting AK/AQ/high pair will double through.

I wouldn't worry about it. I think it actually benefits you as you triple up on AA.

I've seen lots of players say, "I'm going all-in pre-flop no matter what." That's fine, I think.

But in this, case one player basically said, "Does anyone want to go all-in pre-flop on the first hand?" Then someone said (before any cards dealt) "Yes, I would." Then they both went all-in. Isn't that collusion?

Well, I'm not going to worry about it anymore tonight. And I don't think either player meant any harm by it.

It could be considered collusion. But in most cases, people say this to lure other players to go in with marginal hands, so that on the off chance that they have a strong hand PF, they can "cash in".
