KK - Boat on the river - Correct fold?
 

So, my friend just played this hand, and i argued that it was a bad fold, he on the other hand was 100% sure about the fold. He argued that people on this particular site, only bet very strong with a monster, in this case he's sure he has the jack.

Comments on all streets also appreciated.

Is that a raise to $5 or to $7.50?

$5 = bad

$7.50 = ok

Bet flop, Bet turn.

The way he played it, call river.

The raise was to 5$. Reason for raising it more? (I myself would have raised more aswell, but im not quite sure why i would [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Anyways, a more depthgoing analysis would be appreciated.

With a min raise he's getting pot odds that are quite enticing, making calling correct with a lot of hands.

Any reads? Do you see him making a 5x raise with a J? I bet the flop bet the turn. Check/call the river.

His read is as following: People are in general extreemly weak, and almost never bet anything else then the minimum. No specific read for just this player.

IMO, the pre-flop re-raise was too small (alot of mini re-raises are made with Aces). Is there a reason to think villain won't call a larger raise?

I agree that the fold on the River was weak. I think your friend's post-flop play was quite timid in this hand. I'm betting this flop and raising the turn. If I think I'll get called, I'm pushing the river. There's no way to be 100% sure of another opponent's holding at this level.
