Average number of hands dealt per hour

I'm new here, so excuse me if this is an old question. I tried the "search" function and had no luck. I've also tried "googling" and not had success (maybe I'm not asking the right question).

I'm trying to get an idea of the average number of hands dealt in a "typical" poker room. I want to get a better idea of my results. I usually win. I'm not the best player anyone ran into, but I've not been finding the competition to be very strong.

I've just moved to this state and I'm limited where I can play. The closest casino to me only offers 2/5 7-Stud and 3/6 or 4/8 Omaha or Texas Hold'em. I'm used to playing 5/10 and 10/20.

I know there are a lot of variables involved and the numbers probably vary from room to room.

Thank you for any insight or suggestions.

my guess, and they are exactly that, would be 20-25 hands per hour without a shuffler and maybe 30-35 with a shuffler.

25-30 without shuffler. 10 if you play at morongo.

30-35 with shuffler.

Thank you all for your input. I didn't think to specify the dealers shuffle.

I was estimating about 30-35 for hold'em and 25-30 for stud.

I think 30-35 is on the mark. At most of the cardrooms near me (West Puget Sound), the dealers are pretty fast without a shuffler, and most of the times the players are pretty quick too. I'm not sure a shuffler helps that much speed-wise...for purposes of calculation, I use 35 hands per hour. 30 sounds quite reasonable, though. I'd be surprised if the hands/hour were much lower than that.

I've never actually counted though...I oughtta do that some time.
